What is Good News Club?
Lexington Baptist Church is proud partners with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God, through the local church, for Christian living. Ministry takes place in the elementary school, and is a fast-paced, one-hour program designed to interact with kids on their level in their environment. Last year, over 22.9 million children worldwide heard the Good News through CEF Ministries.
Good News Club in Oglethorpe County
On select Tuesday afternoons during the school year, Lexington Baptist Church hosts a “Good News Club” at Oglethorpe County Elementary School. Students who have parent permission to participate meet in the cafeteria, directly after school, until 4:15 PM. The students participate in games, Bible lessons, snacks and more! Each adult volunteer that participates in “Good News Club” goes through yearly training and background checks through Child Evangelism Fellowship Incorporated. CEF produces and distributes all materials used during clubs. Children can join at any time during the school year! Permission forms to attend can be obtained through the main office of the Oglethorpe County Elementary School.
