Sunday School is an integral part of our culture at Lexington Baptist Church. From infants through senior adults, you can find your place in a group each week for Bible study, sharing, prayer and encouragement.

Sunday School is Important!

  • This is the original small group of the New Testament church —and the opportunity to reach people on an individual basis
  • Leaders are built and developed through Sunday School
  • Accountability and Discipleship are better facilitated in small groups

LBC Sunday School Vision

Sunday School is a vital part of our ministry and integral to our efforts to evangelize and make disciples of Christ, and to reach people for Christ. Scripture outlines the importance of these two objectives:

Evangelism —Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Discipleship —Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction. (2 Timothy 4:2)

Our teachers are carefully screened, trained and committed to teaching the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God in every class. Class members will be encouraged to study the Word of God, to encourage each other daily, and to be an active part of the church family.

Meets at 9:45 each week!
